alg. vs. cal.

1.the difference between finding the limit of a function at x=c and actually plugging it in a nummber is that it may have a different solution.
2. i really dont know the difference between them because i still dont know much of this topics

limits

More like reaching my breaking point! Anyways, some things that i didnt understand in ch2 was when we had to graph something like g(x){x^2-1/x-1,1}.how iam suppose to start.another thing that i i didnt get finding them asyptotes. Hor.& Vert.Another one when dealing with sin cos etc with limits. the other the thing was continuity and discontinuity.

Logs and Inverses

-One thing i managed to learn through Logs and Inverses is the one-to-one idea. I think there are two ways to check if a function is a one-to-one and that is the horizontal and vertical test.

-Another thing i learn was the inverses of a fuction. f-1(x). Or turning f(x)=3x+4,into y=3x+4

-third thing i learn was the logarithic rules. Some like log3(xy)=log3^x+log3^y and so on.

-lastly one thing that i did not understand was the base of 10. How do you know that ten belongs under the log.

Even and Odd func..

Well i really don't understand what the question is trying to say. I do understand the formulas:f(-x)=f(x)even function
f(-x)=-f(x)
I dont understand why this works
....................... (help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
I think that even functions is symmetric along the y axis so if you flip the even function youll have f(-x)

About Me

Well my name is Joyce Ivette Rojas. I play basketball here at poly. I am a very boring person. Some things dont interest me. Like at first i didnt really like math but ever since 8 grade i started to like it. It has been a great challenge in getting here in math. I really do hope in trying my very best on this class.
